We missed season 1 : www.houseofquake.com/hoqleagues/index.php?l=11They are league based, so we ought to be placed at the bottom and get to play teams that aren't totally superior to us. Perhaps ! No news on Season 2 yet. Lam is likely to play for a proper team so we need 4 horny handed sons of the soil to sign up and sacrifice their stats for the cause. Hmm. I like that. Gonna use it in the newsletter I think So, let me know if you're interested.

I'm interested, but only as a replacement. I usually don't have too much time and lately my pings reaches very high numbers at night. I've been in ctf last season with flawless clan (also as a sometimes replacement guy due to lack of avaible time at crucial moments). I do have ts/esl account etc.

Found this thread. Guess we can utilize it solely for TDM purposes for the upcoming competition. And not to mix things with CTF stuff. Results of our last prac. Grim Dungeons: [ Basic][ Extended] Dreadful Place: [ Basic][ Extended] Hidden Fortress: [ Basic][ Extended] So if you allow me, i'll give a little break up of what i experienced, and how the games looked from my perspective. On Grim Dungeons our initial plan was to hold red room and push out on powerups as they happen. It felt like we're totally thrashing opponent, but it seems i was overoptimistic on that. Pickups show that we were pretty even. We had twice as much quad time then you, and you had twice as much BS time then we did, besides that - nothing special. You even did had a slight yellows advantage. So i'm not rly sure what went wrong for your team. Maybe not much weapons to work with or lack of coordination. Speaking of which, big props to Mr_B for putting all the timing info i provided to use. Also i should note his awesome damage output, which puts me to shame, bcuz i had one quad more, most of our team's reds and finished with a net of 1 and half of his frags Mostly died early on my quads, thanks to Blue Team stackpiling on attacking quad room, and me being too open for those attacks. Should be more careful in future. On Dreadful Place we started well, timed our stuff, but then i felt covering someone other's positions, so to speak. Tottally forgetting my times, and running aimlessly sometimes. Mostly that's bcuz heading out to quad somehow feels like whole another game, and it's so thrilling an intense that when i'm back to map-roaming i can't set my priorities straight on where to go. Should deffinately play this map more. Both teams were pretty equal on pickups, including quads, with a slight armor advantage for our team. Which we havent utilized fully, obviously. Map ended up with Blue Team caught at spawns w\o weapons, armor - giving away free frags. Mr_B beasted with his great damages once more. Must be a good powerup play on his side (1st - map 5 excellents, 10 impressives, 2nd map - 6 excellents, 10 impressives). Guess we should discuss our positions more strict to have a better control over the map. Third map was Hidden Fortress where Martin joined our team. We totally beasted out on those quads. We played HF w\o voicecomms, but we had a plan on what to do nevertheless. Not sure if smb read my team-messages that game, tho we coordinated with over pretty well and sticked to our original plan of holding YA-LG room. Rest of the time i was on a solo-mission of stealing those reds. Our quad setups were pretty solid too. Extended scoreboard looks a bit bizarre to me, since Martin had 7 quads against mine one, and i still outdamaged him. Makes me think maybe i should just be more careful with those reds, and maybe it's me who should've carried those quads with all those armors. Either way, we're far from ideal. Not to mention Vamps almost caught me in damage competition without even having all those reds. Give her my reds and she'll end up with 10k+ damage no problem So the point is - Vamps is awesome \o/ Overall, this one needs more playing/tactical training. Cheers to everyone who joined. And see you next time, hopefully!

Excellent analysis Nitrogen I'd written a long response, then I managed to crash IE when debugging a web app. Stupid Microsoft. They were both decent games. You guys did a good job on Grim Dungeons, massing well to control RA and then gathering at quad with ample time. We should probably have done better with the YAs, but we managed to take BS reasonably well. BS always seems to get delayed on this map and the Quad carrier usually seems to push through to RA. I'd have thought that there's some mileage in heading down and trying to secure the BS too... Dreadful Place was a great game, with us doing well initially, then gradually losing our lead as we lost position and failed to secure the last few quads. Lessons for next time (which will be obvious to proper TDMers, but we're mostly all at TDM101 still ) 1) 1 person on each team needs to call the shots, to co-ordinate the team. It's their job to tell everyone when to gather for quad, and to decide who takes it. 2) The team needs to know RA and MH times - what you do with them depends on the situation, but everyone in the team needs to know when they spawn. 3) Each person in the team should have a weapon to time, with RG generally being the most important (Mr_B showed how to get the most out of that). Ideally they'll also time the nearest armour / MH to that weapon. These aren't areas to camp btw, generally the team isn't spread across the map, but you move to your weapon / minor armour when it's due to spawn, perhaps with support. Like I said, basic stuff, but they're the first steps in moving away from pub TDM (FFA styley ) to becoming a co-ordinated four (wo)man killing machine

nitro ye what happened there? you never even had high stack when quad was about to spawn xD. i didnt have a single succesive quad run i think, to preven this someone should go out of quad room first and cover the quad carrier who hops out and delivers teh damage. quad guy is still as fragile as anyother and at a rail heavy map as dm20 is its pretty dangerous to sneak out of there without someone to cover you but anyways, the best part with grabbing quad is that your opponents doesn't get it

Was looking for some TDM guidance last night. Remembered about those videos by ischju that i saw bit.ly/zGKbnA. Turned to be pretty basic, thus not very interesting, but contain some important thoughts. Also I was recommended to look at those: Deep Inside guide, Grim Dungeons guide.

Big Announcement at the bottom of the thread !
Nitrogen is the -273 TDM team captain for the current HoQ TDM season. He picks the maps, allocates positions to the squad member and decides the overall tactics, as well as calling the shots in game.
I have risen up to the heights of Team Manager, so I'll be responsible for sorting out practice sessions, dealing with league admin +etc +the boring stuff.
Obviously a good manager and a good captain take advice from everyone in the team, but I thought it would be helpful to have an official captain who has the final say over all things TDM.
Good luck Captain Nitrogen !
