Hamster Gumbo Louisiana Style
1/4 cup flour
1 Tbsp Olive oil
1/2 cup onions
1 medium green pepper (peeled)
3 cloves garlic
1 lb Okra
1 can diced tomatoes
1 cup rice
2 cups chicken broth
2 cups water
1 lb peeled raw shrimp
1 lb sauteed hamster meat (cubed)
In a frying pan heat flour stirring regularly until golden brown, but not burnt. In a large pot, saute onions, green peppers, and garlic in olive oil until onions are clearish. Slowly add browned flour to pot stirring with a whisk. Add okra (sliced about 1/2 inches thick) and tomatoes and stir. Cook for about 5 minutes. Add in liquids. Liquids should be about 2 inches above okra mixture. Cook for 40 minutes at a simmer, uncovered. Add in salt, shrimp and cubed hamster. Cook for 10 more minutes. Enjoy!
Serves 6-8
Takes about an hour
Often this is even better reheated!
Spike to taste with Tabasco..

Baby Rabbits You will have to excuse the picture quality, they now have fur and have opened there eyes. And beings though they have just opened there eyes I wasn't able to use a flash. And I couldn't get close to them because everytime I did they started jumping all over the place. We were checking to see if there eyes were open and after 50 attempts we finally came to the conclusion it would be better to remove them 1 by 1 check put in the box then once all done put them back in the hutch. At one point at attempt 19 the missus thought we had 9 rabbits  But we only have 5. I'll get some better pictures end of next week   |
