I just had my first ever quake dream tonight. And a strange one at that.
 [/b] I was playing on a CA server. First round went as normal, although it was 8vs8 on a huge unknown map. Then in round two, so many people joined - like 30 or more - that three times in a row I couldn't even spawn because the map was so overcrowded. And when I finally did, everyone but me were apparently lagged out in the game, and I just ran around killing the unmoving enemy team (and yet my accuracy was only 17% despite them standing still, which was super frustrating lol). My team were cheering me on somehow since they apparently couldn't move either. Everyone also had super high health because I remember having to rail a guy 6 times to kill him. Eventually the game turned into reality and became sort of a game of stealth where I ran around as myself in my parent's old house where I grew up, sneaking around the rooms trying to pick off the other players who had now become uninvited guests - although I never actually killed or harmed anyone, I just stealthed around trying not to be seen. Our house had a basement with an actual sauna, and two of the players had taken to use it. So while they were in the shower cooling off, I had put their pistols (like real western revolvers) inside the sauna, making them scolding hot. As they came out and saw me, they went for their pistols but had to drop them because they were too warm, so I caught them and held them up at gunpoint with an empty pistol of my own and was trying to keep them in check by bluffing, which seemed to work. All of a sudden my sister came into the picture and wanted to wash clothes in the washing machine, which I was trying to help her with while still holding the two "players" in check - at this point I woke and the dream ended. o.O  Weirdness  Have any of you ever had a dream about Quake? |

grab the numbers from that dream and play them on lottery  i had few quake dreams, in one i was playin ctf (haven't play one since out of beta) and in another one just few days ago i remember was a ca on dm6, 4v4 i think and i was always dying, all the time i couldn't see any enemy, just keep collecting rockets, rails and nades but i couldn't find any enemy. so i started to wallhack and i discovered that every enemy was wallhacking me. i feeld really bad about walhacking in dream and even after when i woke up, i never cheated in a videogame, even the singleplayer ones. |

sorry, no mousepad here, just that good IKEA surface with teflon pad surfers on the mouse.
well this is an alkohol related dream more than quake one lol ?
btw, now that you spoken about, i''m always sober in my dreams even i''m drunk around +75% of my awake time...
some bug ?

You're all insane  But then so am I so that's ok. I occasionally have QL dreamlets. Either I can't strafe (no comments from you pony), or my shots have no effect. I'm fairly sure that doesn't mean anything in real life  |

After 3 rails you will be pretty low and the forth is a 100% kill. I have like 1000 CA games played and my most used weapon is rail - I should know  Also everybody dreams several different dreams every night, but you might not always remember them. It is also speculated that you are not sleeping well if you do not remember your dreams. |

From the quake live forum guide: Also know how much damage each weapon does. Sort of obvious, but you should also know how many shots it takes with each weapon before an enemy dies.
Enemy will have 200hp, 100 armour. That basically means enemy has 300hp (For first 251hp of damage, armour absorbs 66%, then armour runs out, and remaining 49 hp is all direct). And so:
4 rails to kill, each rail does 80 damage, reload time is 1250ms (1500ms?). After 3 rails, enemy will have the equivalent of 60 hp left. Use rail at long range. I don't know how it works, but 4 rails kill. |
