So... Looks like we need voice comms then ? Mumble, Teamspeak, Ventrilo, xFire or skype ? I guess they've all got free client software. Anyone know of any good reasons NOT to chose a particular offering ? xFire is windows only - anyone on Mac or Linux ? Looks like the Vent client is essentially windows only too.

I'd say the lighter the better. I get fps drops with Skype, haven't tried xFire. F1 Mumble / Teamspeak. Light and cross platform. For Mumble, Vent or Teamspeak we need a server. xFire and Skype don't need them. There are some free Vent and Teamspeak servers out there where you can create a password protected room. Renting a Teamspeak / Mumble / Ventrilo server is pretty cheap. Cheap Mumble server (=Murmur : ) (they have TS and Vent servers too): www.multiplaygameservers.com/voice-comms/murmur-mumble/There are pretty cheap TeamSpeak 3 servers out there too. Free TeamSpeak 3 server: Label: PublicTeamspeak.com UK Server Address: Europe.PublicTeamSpeak.com Port: 9987

Nice idea swampy, but for 77p a month I'm willing to stump up for a Mumble server with 10 slots on it. Means you guys can use it while my machine's off too Mumble ftw ?

Found even cheaper alternative, 50 slots for free. www.ukgame.com/voice_servers/murmur_mumble_voice_servers.htmlCreated a server Address: mumble.ukgame.com Port: 53544 Password: <.<>.> Admin: me To get into CHILL channels, you have to create an Access token. - Join server: "Server" -> "Connect" -> "Add new..." -> fill up the form with information given above -> connect to the server -> Give password.
- In the top menu, choose Server
- Access Tokens
- Add
- write ch1ll
Root of server and root of CHILL can't be used for chatting, use subchannels: - Public - For chatting while not playing
- FT - For chatting when in Freeze Tag
- iFT - For chatting when in Insta Freeze
- Scrims and Clanwars 1 - 2 Scrims and Clanwars channels because why not
- Scrims and Clanwars 2
Public and Other 1 - 3 can be used for other game types or what ever you want. Token: publicplace Have fun!

Did you try to join any channels? I haven't ever before used mumble so i really don't know how it works. Maybe mumble asks for a password when you try to join a channel?
If you have time, come to irc and let's sort this out.
[E] Did you join the server before you tried to add access tokens? First login to server, then add access token.
If that does not work, try this: when you come to the server, right click your username and select register. Then try adding the token.
Let me know if those advises help.

I think I got the whole access token thing figured out. How do I find the server? "Server" -> "Connect" -> "Add New..." and add the required information. You can choose the label and username, Address, port and password are given in previous post.
